Originally published in Spanish a month before. Translated by Luis Reggio Branciforte and Colonna (Prince of Campoflorido) Spanish ambassador in France. Later half camel cloth binding, boards in caillouté paper, the first one with a gilt black morocco label. Spine-top a little rubbed, white end-papers shaded. Contemporary handwritten notes on the upper part of the title page. Extremely rare copy of this diary about one of the greatest naval campaigns of the British Navy, and its bitter defeat against the Spanish Treasure Fleet (“West Indias Fleet”).
