Jean Joseph MOUNIER

Second edition after an original from 1790 that are rarely found. Brochure original gray paper. Various mishaps coverage. Mounier remained a monarchist deputy and thought that only a constitutional monarchy, like that of England could spread freedom and happiness of the people. After the revolutionary events of 5 and 6 October 1789 when the king was brought from Versailles to Paris among many looting, Mounier pressed the third meeting of the state so that it finally might give a constitution for France, Worried, he took refuge in Geneva and had printed this book against the report of the President of the Constituent Chabroud about these events. Mounier reviewing all the facts, including the prosecution and defense of the Duke of Orleans and the participation of the tale of Mirabeau in this case. It shows a beautiful impartiality or a very subtle rhetoric. --- Please note that the translation in english is done automatically, we apologize if the formulas are inaccurate.
