Original manuscript (anonymous) of this Latin philosophy course dictated by Father Motet; this manuscript has been enriched with a number of illustrations including a portrait, a frontispiece, and 11 others. The plates illustrate different aspects of logic or philosophy, but we have been unable to determine which work they're taken from. The frontispiece bears the legend “Chez I. F. Cars, 1710. Epitre au cardinal de Berulle, avec son portrait”. Contemporary speckled calf, spine in compartments richly gilt. Gilt title framed by two roulettes. A good copy. A good hand, fine and legible, with a relatively spacious layout on the page, recording a course on the various aspects of philosophy (de judicio, logica, etc...).
