first edition.
Third full year in 12 issues of this extremely rare scholarly journal founded and directed by Paul Nadar. Each copy includes at least two inserts, including a plate of photographic pictures of Nadar and a photograph often reproduced in photogravure. Contribution by P. Nadar, A. and L. Lumière, A. Marey, G. Geffroy, J. Grand-Carteret, J. Demarçay, Davison, S. Ferrand, H. Fourtier, C. Gravier, A. Guerronnan, Ponton d'Amécourt, H. Reeb, L. Vidal, J. Waterhouse ... Among the many subjects dealt with, we will find chronophotography, obtaining colors, skies in photography, The pilgrimage to Mecca (very beautiful photogravure without text of the ceremony of the grand çalat) ... "We believe that we are making progress in making the public even more interested in this all-French discovery of Photography ...". Thus, Paul Nadar completed his introduction by way of presentation of this precious review, containing a photograph of the famous photographer by number. At the origin of the creation of Paris-photographer, P. Nadar explains the inexistence of a luxurious photography magazine in France, unlike the magnificent foreign publications.
Some rare and tiny marginal wettings and small tears without gravity, otherwise very beautiful uncut copies forming a set of a badge of rarity.
