This letter follows a discontent René Char who had seen his name associated with a list of French authors present at a reception of German authors by Parisian publishers. The correspondent of René Char is probably one of the authors of the magazine "Documents" published in 1929 and 1931 because René Char entrusts him "I regularly read your review Document ". He thanked his addressee for his letter and assured him that his feelings for him remained friendly. He told him of his mistrust of journalists: "Paris specialists in false situations".
