Binders half sheepskin lees of wine back smooth decorated with double gold striping and cold, marbled paper plates, parts of title and volume number brown sheepskin, guards and contreplats of handmade paper, sprinkled edges, bindings the time.
Our copy is exceptionally enriched with 26 of the 30 steel engravings by Staal of the illustrated edition of memoirs from beyond the grave which appeared the same year by the same publisher.
In addition, our model includes an autograph letter
Lovely group established in a beautiful contemporary binding, which is rare to encounter a fortiori as Clouzot enriched Staal steel engravings.
