Second edition of the popular illustrated Balzac after that published in Maresq in 1851-1852, this time with Michel Lévy, who had bought the bottom of Maresq works. The copy contains the two volumes contains many early works that lack most of the time; these two volumes are Volume 1 of our copy. Printing on double column.
