Third edition increased. The first edition of 1707 and the second in 1709 by the same publisher had only one volume. Full Sheepskin brown ice time. Back to nerves decorated with rich cabinets. Part of title in red morocco. Hat Volume I threadbare. Little lacking in supéreure cap of Volume II. Good copy. The author held a place in the literary life of his time, and his Odes had considerable success. His most famous book of the opera was L'Europe Galante, but it brought many innovations to the stage; used the salon of the Marquise de Lambert, it was originally the second Quarrel of the Ancients and the Moderns, taking advantage of modern declaring unnecessary to and the rule of the three units in the theater. If his poems have become difficult to read (especially considering its literary life of the time), they are just as critical work, the important testimony of an era. --- Please note that the translation in english is done automatically, we apologize if the formulas are inaccurate.
