Full mottled calf, icy contemporary. Smooth back adorned with grotesque. Part of title and volume number in red morocco. Caps threadbare. Scattered spots. A foxing on the first 15 pages of Volume 1.Célèbre libertine novel that inspired Diderot especially for prying jewelry. The work was long attributed to Crébillon son. Through the history and exotic oriental tale, the author crunches Parisian society and its ways.
