posthumous reissue dedicated to Henry Frederick prince by the English philologist John Bond and decorated with a frontispiece representing characters from Greek mythology bestiary.
Bound in full brown sheepskin, back with five nerves decorated with gilded florets, golden lace on the cuts, all sliced ??red speckled. partially torn rotator head, cap missing tail, little lack on the part of title, rubbed cuts, three corners bumped. Very little work to the lower margin of the frontispiece page.
This edition brings together in one body the poetic work of Quintus Horatius Flaccus, said Horace (-65 BC - 8 BC), including the Odes, published between 23 and 7 BC. BC, the Satires, published between 23 and 7 BC and the Epistles in 19 BC End of the book, we also find the Ars Poetica, published the same year as the Epistles and compiling the poetic theory of Horace.
