Binding half shagreen green back with four nerves nerves set with gilded nets and adorned with double gilded boxes, golden monograms tail tail, marbled paper plates, guards and contreplats of handmade paper, binders of the time.

Some small foxinges.

Our copy is enriched, on a slip, of an instructive autograph signed by Alexandre Dumas to Mr. Beauchesne as a present of this book: "My dear Beauchesne, I send you the work of General Dermoncourt: read it carefully and you will see that he has only blown the lady of the dagger, only to make one forget his republican temperament, to you anyway.
