Original watercolour signed by Joseph Kuhn-Régnier on laid paper, signed at the top left of the plate, produced for the illustration of Œuvres by Hippocrates (Paris, Javal and Bourdeaux, 1932-1934). The colours of this original drawing differ very slightly from the final version chosen for the illustration of the book. There is a caption taken from the book in pencil in the lower margin of the leaf.
A beautiful copy of this drawing by one of the masters of Art Deco illustration.
