Copy to arms hit on Brazilian boards SPDF with the figure below.
Bound in red full of shagreen then. Back smooth decorated with rococo decorations, gilded Gothic title. boards decorated with a rich decor Rockery, cold and warm, with the crown of Brazil on the upper flat and SPDF letters below, Brazil's arms on the lower flat. Golden slices. Roulette Indoor cold. shimmering blue guards. Restoring a green paper strip between the two cover pages at the beginning and end of the book, with exposed yellow stitching. A few scattered spots on a pale white paper well. Friction copings with small lack the upper joint in the head.
Very nice copy, despite some minor flaws.
The name down in the middle of contreplat G. Leuzinger, and the corresponding address on the second contreplat: Rua do Ouvidor 36, is not the name of a bookbinder, but that of a printer and photographer s Switzerland is installed in Rio de Janeiro in 1832. The Rua Ouvidor 36 is indeed the address of his shop. This was made very famous by his photographs of Brazil, which are the first that we have today. Presumably Leuzinger brought this partition of Paris and made it relate to sell in his shop, it was perhaps a special imperial order.
