First Edition, one of the 16 numbered copies on Holland paper, small print in the smallest paper before 18 Japan. Autograph dedication signed by Jean Ajalbert on the title page of the first volume. Our copy is enriched by an autograph letter dated and signed by the author, three pages, addressed to an attorney in which he defends the mother of Roland Garros about legal problems related to the exploitation of the name of the "Garros" family, whom she was deprived of as she fought for the glorious memory of her son and has always maintained good relations with him ..., envelope attached to the letterhead of the Academy Goncourt. We also enclose a photographic postcard representing J. Ajalbert signed in foot . Covers illustrated by Busset with discharges of the illustration on the first two guards volumes. Nice copy at all margins.
