A very handsome, moving autograph inscription signed by Maurice Blanchot to his sister : "Pour ma chère Marg, avec ma profonde affection. Maurice. Que l'oubli repose en toute parole. "Aller implique éloignement, éloignement implique retour. Tao te King [For my dear Marg, with my profound affection. Maurice. That forgetting should be in every word. ‘Going implies distance, distance implies return. Tao te King’]" as well as a further manuscript inscription, describing the work, opposite "Que l'oubli repose en toute parole": "Vestiges d'un cheminement, prémisse d'une parole [Vestiges of wandering, the premise of some words]."
